The requirements for relocating to the US to practice as a nurse can appear to be complicated at first, but in fact they are quite simple.
To practice as a nurse in the US you must have passed the NCLEX exam before starting a nursing job.
This does not mean that you have to have passed NCLEX before interview but you should be in a position to start studying immediately you have received a job offer. We can put you forward for interview without NCLEX however your chances of getting a job and choice of location will be much greater if you have already passed the exam.
All applicants for interview with our clients for US nursing jobs must :
- Be REGISTERED NURSES with a minimum of TWO years acute care experience
- Have covered both theory and clinical placements in each of the following during their training:- MEDICINE, SURGERY, PEDIATRICS, and OBSTETRICS AND PYSCH
- (NB This means that you should have at least 40 hours of theory and practical experience in each of the subjects)
- Have good English language skills and passed IELTS if you studied in a non English speaking country
- Be prepared to undergo the potentially lengthy process involved in nurse registration in the US and immigration procedures.
- Register with a US State Board of Nursing for eligibility to take the NCLEX
- Be ready to commit to the process & passing the required exams
If you meet the above requirements you can either contact us for more information and a telephone discussion or you can apply now.
